How to Create Your Own Blog

Here are instructions on how to create your very own blog!

1.  Type in the URL www.blogger.com

Click the Create New Blog button

2. Sign in to Blogger.com using your email address or phone number. Click the blue "Next" button

3.  Choose a URL (also called a web site address), and make sure to write it down!

Create a Title for your blog, and select a Theme. (You can always go back and change your theme later!)

That's it, your blog has now been created! Congratulations!

How To Post

Hello everyone!

After you've created your blog, you will need to write new posts. Here are some instructions on how to create a new post.

First, click the orange "New Post" button to create a new Post

Then, add a title, type your vocabulary word and definition. You can also add a picture.

When you're done, make sure to publish your post.

You can view your post here.

If you want to edit, share, or delete your post, you can do so here by hovering the mouse over the title of your post. 

That's it! Enjoy this space to keep track of the vocabulary words you and your classmates have learned this semester. 

How to Insert A Picture

This post will explain how to insert a picture in your blog.


1. Save your picture on your computer - either a photograph you took, or something from the internet



2. Click the orange New Post button



3. In your post, click on the picture icon here

4. Click Choose Files and select your photo

5. Select your file, and click the blue Add Selected button 

6. Double click on your picture to change the size, edit, or remove it

7. If using a picture from the internet, make sure to cite it!

8. Remember to publish your post when you're all done.

An alien is a creature from another planet, such as Mars or Venus.

We read about aliens in the story People of the Third Planet by Dale Crail.

Aliens are from outer space.
In the movie E.T., an alien arrives on Earth.
My sister doesn't believe in aliens, but I sure do!
